Anno Domini is a contemporary art gallery in San Jose, California, which has been hosting an annual Art of Zines exhibit since 2001. On February 5, this year as usual, you will find a lot of little DIY, cut-and-paste, copied-on-the-cheap, hand-folded, self-distributed gems that continue to surface because someone, somewhere feels the need to express themselves.

Last friday, at castillo/corrales in Paris, Aaron Flint Jamison, founder and editor-in-chief of Veneer Magazine, presented a detailed diagnosis of the financial health of his publishing project.

The obstacle is tautology is the title of an exhibition that will inaugurate on Thursday at Studio D1 cité des arts montmartre, in Paris. The show, conceived by Benoît Maire, will include Philippe Fernandez’ cinematographic adaptation of the myth of the Plato’s cave, a portait of Jiri Kovanda remembering his first joy and sculpture of a flower without a why by Boris Achour, a mesmerizing sculpture by Alex Cechetti, an electric lamp which casts light on its socket by Etienne Chambaud, a newspaper collage by Jesse Ash, an instruction for a collage made from motorbike magazine by Liam Gillick, several paintings of a new kind by Valentina Liernur, a photograph made by Bruno Serralongue one day after the event which motivated the decision to make the picture. There is also a sculpture open to transformation by Reto Pulfer and a plate by Gintaras Didiapetris which changes when it is rotated. Finally, a site-specific painting by Amir Mogharabi. GALLERY, GALERIE, GALLERIA is an exhibition that will stage a history of the various ways that commercial galleries have been utilised by artists, examining and presenting artworks both past and present. The exhibition will encompass works by a cross-generational group of artists, some of which will address Norma Mangione Gallery and its location in Torino, as well as a historical display comprised of documentation, artefacts and ephemera related to site-specific and situational works, conceived by artists for other galleries.

The international festival devoted to electronic arts will feature a multidisciplinary programme, aiming to represent the complex scenario of the contemporary audiovisual research.
