“Dialoghi: Adrian Paci – Chiaralice Rizzi e Alesandro Laita – ” at Office Project Room, Milan

OfficeProjectRoom is pleased to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of Chiaralice Rizzi and Alessandro Laita in dialogue with the work Passages(2010) by Adrian Paci–Scutari (1969), from a private collection. The exhibition continues the cycle Dialoghi, a project that relates the works of young artists with the works of established artists, building a close dialogue, between working methods, references, influences and less apparent and pronounced similarities, renewed each exhibition moment.

At Office Project Room Alessandro Laita and Chiaralice Rizzi present the beginning of their new project entitled Tempo di viaggio. Scenically realistic landscapes and a more careful inspection turn out to be visual compositions created by fragments of transitional images from the homonymous documentary in which Andrey Tarkovsky and the screenwriter Tonino Guerra tour Italy working on the film “Nostalghia”.

The two artists focus on the possibilities of the story contained in the frames freed from the constraint of narration and that here dissolve into an idea expressed in images that places us at the beginning of a new “journey in Italy.”

The landscape is reinstated with discordances that alter the authenticity of genre photography. At the same time, referring to the sketches of travelers of the GrandTour of 1800, Tempo di viaggio reflects on the existence of thought as a manifestation of the author’s creative personality and on the assembly as a form through which it becomes possible to amplify points of view that go beyond the object contemplated to show it in an unusual way, to hope to see what has not been seen, see again what has already been seen, record “the traces of the passage of the mind for the world.”
