“On Plane Air” at Air de Paris, Paris

Air de Paris is pleased to invite the gallery Château Shatto, founded by Olivia Barrett and Nelson Harmon in Los Angeles, in July 2014. The exhibition presents three artists, the two young Americans Parker Ito and Aria Dean, as well as Dutch Jacqueline De Jong under a joyful invitation: “On Plane Air.”

Aria Dean, born in 1993, lives and works in Los Angeles. Arian Dean is an artist and writer, graduated from Oberlin College in 2015. Her reviews have been published in Artforum, she also contributes to Rhizome and runs the project space As It Stands based in Los Angeles.

Jacqueline De Jong, born in 1939 in Hengelo, Netherlands, lives and works in Amsterdam. In 1962, she left the Internationale Situasionniste to get closer to the German-based Spur group. At the same time, she launched her own magazine entitled Le Temps Situationiste (1962-67). Her oeuvre, mostly deployed in painting, was recently presented in the Leftovers group-show at Simon Lee, London. From September 15th, she will have a solo exhibition of her jewelry titled You Say Potato at Mini Masterpiece Gallery in Paris, and also participates in: Sie sagen wo rauch ist, ist auch feuer at Kunsthalle in Bern, from August 12th to October 1st, 2017.
